dino-mite birthday...

Hello friends, I have a card a for you all. I played with my new stamp and new Koh-I-Noor watercolor wheel...

I played with my new Clearly Besotted stamps called "You Rock". These cuties are stamped using MFT black hybrid ink onto Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock. I colored the whole scene using my new watercolors.
I added some glitter on  mountain tops and rocks. I layered the colored panel on some black cardstock and then the whole panel is adhered on the design paper is from Avery Elle's "The Sorbet Collection".
Here is a close up.. I also added a heart die-cut near the sentiment.

You Are RAWRsome!

Hello friends, I have a card using Gerda Steiner Designs stamps..
I have used the brand new Monster Party stamp set which is available in the shop..

Sooooo cute, I love this set!!!!
I stamped this cutie on a rectangular piece of cardstock and drew a square inside so that it would look like a polaroid!! The image is then colored using Copics. Once the coloring was done I rounded the top corners of the polaroid, stamped the sentiment using black Memento ink and adhered it using foam adhesive.
The design paper on the background is from Echo Park.
I also added a little strip of washi tape on top and added some hearts, I just love adding little hearts to my cards.
Here is a close up..

Hope you liked my card. You can check all the clear stamps available in the shop..
Thanks for stopping by!!

I Missed You Birthday

Hello friends, I am back with my cards which I made for  MFT Summer School lesson #14 and #15.
Card #1:
Lesson #14 is about Color Saturation. I normally use highly saturated colors on my cards, I just love fun and bright colors on my cards and that is what I chose to use today as well...

I played with BB Green Pastures set, I stamped her on Neenah solar white cardstock and colored using Copics. For the background I used distress inks and did some free hand water-coloring... Adhered the watercolor panel to a red cardstock from Recollections using foam sheet and strong glue.
Here is a close up..

Card #2:
For my second card I followed lesson #15 which is about Color Temperature...
Ok so warm colors are my go to colors, which I would normally say bright and fun colors and I will admit that it was kind of difficult for me to play with just the cool or the neutrals...

Here I played with the cool colors.. Really didn't know what to do initially then I remembered that I have this You're Super stamp set from MFT Birdie Brown, these colors are perfect to create a night sky background for this cutie.
I stamped her on neenah solar white cardstock and colored her using copics, for the background I used distress and memento inks; sponged it on a white cardstock panel, added few drops of water and also made some stars with my Sakura white pen.
Here is a close up..

That's all from me today!! I really  enjoyed making these cards and hope you liked them too.
Thanks for stopping by!!

You Gnome Me So Well

Hello again friends.. I have couple more cards to share, I played with my MFT stamps and did some  MFT Summer School homework...

Card #1:
My first card is about Lesson #12 symmetry/Asymmetry..

I chose asymmetry for my card and followed MFT sketch #241.

I inked up the images from MFT BB You Gnome Me set, colored everything with Copics. The design paper is from MME which is die-cut using LF small stitched rectangle dies and the circle is die-cut using We R Memory Keepers circle die and then I made faux stitches with a black gel pen.
The white dot on mushrooms are highlighted using Sakura white pen and I also added some glitter to the mushrooms and to the snail's shell.
Here is a close up:

Card #2:
The next MFT summer school lesson #13 is about Design: Hard vs. Soft..
Now I don't normally use a lot of textured elements on my card like ribbon, twine, buttons, etc... but I tend to balance thins up with shapes like circular (soft edges) vs. straight or angled lines (hard edges)...
Here is my card following lesson #13..

It's been long I wanted to play with this super cute set... finally I got the chance...
This set is called Whole Herd from Birdie Brown. The chickies and the cow is colored using Copics and the hay stack is colored using Prisma colored pencils. For the design paper is from DCVW and I used rolling hills die on some green cardstock. The clouds is die-cut from LF spring showers. I stamped the sentiment on the cloud die-cut which is from BB Green Pastures set.
Finally I wanted to add a sun to complete the scene so decided to use a yellow button instead of die-cut and also tied a jute natural twine to it..
Here is a close up:

That's all from me today, hope you liked both my cards...
Hop on over to the MFT blog and check out all their MFT Summer School Lessons..
Thanks for stopping by!!
